Overlooking the beautiful Grand Union Canal, Mitre Yard is a new development by Ridgeback Group that offers a welcoming community designed to re-define renting. While TFP was not involved in the apartment FF&E package, we played a significant role in the amenities FF&E. What began with loose pieces ultimately expanded to include kitchen worktops and fixed joinery.

There were many standout, bespoke pieces developed to meet both the brief and the budget, such as banquette seating of different styles, tables, PDR tables etc but the most memorable was undoubtedly the centrepiece kitchen island. This feature had to be designed around one of the building’s supporting concrete columns, making it both a design and manufacturing highlight.

Other enjoyable elements included the bent sheet aluminium coffee tables—something I had long wanted the opportunity to develop and finally bring into use. These unique touches helped ensure the amenities offered both character and functionality, aligning perfectly with the client’s vision.
