Present Made.

project type.

Furniture Design, Technical Drawing, 3D Visualisation

Eddington is Apache’s first single-family housing development and a landmark project for Present Made, delivering a new model of elevated living in Cambridge. Designed with people at its core, the scheme balances authenticity, comfort, and brand-led character through bespoke interiors across houses, apartments, and amenity spaces. Natural timbers, durable fabrics, and carefully considered layouts create spaces that feel both grounded and refined.

Over 95% of the furniture was custom-designed, from tailored dining chairs and unique coffee tables to fully developed sofas and armchairs. The process involved early-stage concept design, detailed prototyping, and rigorous testing, ensuring every piece met the dual goals of durability and comfort. Sourcing reflected a mix of local and suppliers from further abroad. Beds, sofas, and TV units produced in the UK, complemented by chairs from Italy, tables from Portugal, and feature pieces of the lounge char and coffee table from Indonesia.

This attention to detail and collaborative craftsmanship resulted in a scheme that is distinctive to Present Made: bespoke, design-led, and aligned with its target demographic. Eddington sets a benchmark for people-first residential design, combining practicality with an elevated design ethos.

This project was part of a body of work at The Furniture Practice.
