As part of a project for a new office space, we were requested to produce a 6m long board room table. The brief was pretty rigid in style and look so there were a certain amount of constraints we had to make to ensure the table structure was secure. The table strength is based with in its subframe and the way it holds together in order to support the 40mm thick top.
